I'm not sure how many (if any will read this) but I'm am looking for info on the New York Renissance Faire. I'm insterented in learning what guildes they have. But the website says nothing. I had just joined a group in califronia before moveing and would like to be involved out here. I'm know I a bit late this year. But if anyone reads this, could you give me info or help of some kind about New York faires? I thank thee in advance!

do you ever get the feeling that you just can't get enough? The Renaissance (faires in paticlur) are a real big interest in my life. When faire season comes along that pull just gets even stronger. I want to learn everything. I want my costume to be right and my accent. I want to have a character to play. I want her to feel as if she could really belong then. This year I was lucky enough to actually work at a faire. I had only been a guest for the past about 5 years or so. I was with the town criers (guild of St. Blaise) at the Pleasure Faire. I was just starting to get comfortable with my character and makeing friends with my fellow criers ( I joined RIGHT as faire started because of my boyfriend) and then I had to move. I would have worked at least 2 other faires this season. That compleately bummed me out. Now I had a taste of it. But now, my costume is on the other side of the country from me. I just hope I can find some faires in my new home state.
